Polka Police wake from hibernation

Attention Cadets: The Polka Police will briefly awaken from their winter naps to play a few shows next week.

Sunday, January 22 head to Little Flower Haven in Earling, Iowa to see the PoPo bust notorious hooligan (and lifelong friend) Matt Summers from 2-3 pm.

Wednesday, January 25 the boys will be busting Mug Night at the Huber Haus (36th & Farnam in Omaha) between 6 and 10 pm.

Saturday, January 28 the Polka Police will bust University of Okoboji Winter Games in the giant new building at the Barefoot Bar from 1-3 pm.  Stay all day and night for fun activities, Mighty Nish Band and Maiden Dixie.

Attention Cadets: Ring in the New Year with the Polka Police‘s evil step brother, the Mighty Nish Band, at the Twisted Tail in BeeBeeTown, USA! Polka Police bust Remsen Oktoberfest

Attention Cadets: Head the Remsen, Iowa for the last Oktoberfest of the the year – The Remsen Oktoberfest.  The Polka Police are performing from 1-5 pm Saturday, October 29 at St. Mary’s High School in Remsen. In addition, the PoPo will be providing the music for the Prince/Princess contest at 1:30. Thanks to Iowa State Bank for sponsoring!

Polka Police bust UNO Fine Arts

Attention art-loving Cadets:  The Polka Police are busting UNO Fine Arts on Sunday, October 23 from 5-6:30 pm at UNO’s Art Gallery in the Weber Fine Arts Building (6505 University Dr S, Omaha, Nebraska)

Jamie Burmeister (Lt. Lederhosen) is the featured artist for this event. The $15 admission goes to support UNO’s fine art program.

Please touch the art: ‘In correlation with the UNO gallery exhibit “Sensory: Please Touch the Art,” Jamie Burmeister has challenged renowned local artists in a variety of media to create works that invite visitors with low or no vision to experience these art works using all the senses. Explore how a viewer can understand the meaning of a piece through multi-sensory means.’
