Attention Cadets: The PoPo are pumped that the Oktoberfest season is beginning! We are going to BUST them all.

On Friday, September 8 from 4-11 pm the Polka Police will bust Creighton University‘s Socctoberfest 2017. As you may have guessed Socctoberfest is a delicious combination of Creighton Soccer, huge 32 oz steins of beer and a dash of Polka Police for flava.  $25 in advance / $30 at the gate includes filled 32 oz stein and scrumptious meal. The women verse UMKC at 5 and the men verse South Florida at 7:30 – Go Jays!

On Saturday, September 9 from 4-6 pm der PoPo will bust Iowa Western Community College‘s Homecoming Tailgate Extravaganza. Lewis Central’s parking lot will be transformed into party zone USA. The tailgate includes FREE food, FREE music and FREE fun thanks to the sponsors Barley’s and Glory Days. The homecoming (American) football game starts at 6 p.m. – Go Reivers!

Attention Cadets:  The Polka Police will bust Hoo Doo Days in Neola, IA on Labor Day, Monday, September 4, 2017 from 4-6 pm.  We’ll be at the bier tent so watch out!

Attention Cadets:  The PoPo will bust Sangria Sunday on August 20, 2017 at Sugar Clay Winery outside beautiful Thurman, Iowa.  The busting will commence at 2 pm and proceed until 5 pm. $5 gets you in plus a glass of SANGRIA! They have great food, too. It will be 3 hours of fruity wine fuelled mayhem.

Detour Alert: J18/Plum Creek Road traveling west off of Highway 275 is closed due to bridge repair. Please take Highway 275 South to J24 and travel West. Turn right onto J18/Plum Creek Road from Thurman.

Head to the Barefoot Bar on beautiful Lake Okoboji this weekend for a triple shot of fun!  Catch the Mighty Nish Band Friday and Saturday, August 11 and 12 from 7-11 pm.  If you can handle it, hang around Sunday, August 13 for the Polka Police from 2-6 pm. Bust #1 – Twisted Tail in BeeBeeTown, IA – Friday, July 28 – from 8-11 pm. Awesome place – make the drive!

Bust #2 – Benson Days in Omaha, NE – Saturday, July 29 from 8-10 am.  That’s right – 8 am but there will be pancakes!

Bust #3 – Shiddyfest 7 or 8 at the Lookout Lounge in Omaha, NE – Saturday, July 29 from 8-9 pm. Stick around for some real punks: The Shidiots, Filthy Hearts, & Wolf dealer!

Attention Cadets:   Question – What is hotter than Iowa in July?   Answer –The Spencer ‘Chill’ this Friday, July 14 from 5-8 pm outside The Bear Coffee House.  It is, of course, a Polka Police bust so it will also be sort of cool (as the chilly name suggests).

BOOM! Attention Cadets: Friday, May 12, 2017 is the night for which you have been waiting. Three accordion-wielding polka-ish bands under the same roof on the same night – Barley Street Tavern in Benson, NE beginning at 9 pm all for $5.

BAM! Here is the lineup: Polka Police, Apolkalypse Wow, Bolzen Beer Band

Some of these bands even have players under the age of 70.

Attention Cadets:  The Polka Police will bust the Lincoln Marathon on Sunday, May 7, 2017.  The PoPo will have their speed trap at the 6 mile mark at Sutter Place Mall which is at 48th Street and Highway 2.  The fleeing perps will probably be at the bust location between 7:30 and 9:30 am. Polka out!
